Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 55%
A small batch 19-year-old Ballechin 2004 bottled in 2023 at cask strength without colouring or chill filtration. Ballechin is the rarely seen but highly popular heavily peated Highland single malt whisky made at the Edradour distillery in Pitlochry.
This 2004 Ballechin 19-year-old spent the entirety of its maturation ageing in a small batch of three manzanilla sherry casks and is an edition of 1846 bottles released at its natural cask strength of 55%. Ballechin has only been made at Edradour since 2003, so this is one of the oldest editions ever released and should be fantastic.

An exciting deep rich brown coloured liquid.
A compote of fruit together with dried grapes is lovely on the tongue.
Nicely sweetened syrup is evident too.
Invested in two bottles but will be ordering a third.
Great warming malt enjoyed by two. (One aka Pig)
