Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 59.8%
A splendid old bottle of the excellent Royal Brackla 1978 20-year-old Rare Malts Selection, bottled in 1998. A complex, yet easy-drinking dram - even at its robust cask strength of 59.8%, with lots of intense fruity flavours and a rich, waxy mouthfeel.
This 20-year-old Royal Brackla 1978 was the first and only Rare Malts Royal Brackla ever bottled, as the distillery was sold the same year to Bacardi as part of the Dewar's group that United Distillers and Vintners were forced to dispose of to gain approval from the UK government for the massive merger that created Diageo.
