Single Cask Calvados
Bottled by: Little Brown Dog Spirits 50cl / 53.5%
The innovative Little Brown Dog Spirits company up in Aberdeenshire continue to expand their horizons, with another of their Petit Chien Brun bottlings - this time a vintage Calvados, France's famed apple brandy.
This particular Calvados is a 14-year-old bottling of a single cask of the 2006 vintage by Christian Drouin, one of the region's finest producers, and has been bottled at 53.5% after full maturation in a whisky cask from Mars (the Japanese whisky producer not the planet). Probably fair to say no-one else has done that before. This should be fantastic stuff.
