Speyside Single Malt Whisky
Bottled By: Distillery 70cl / 40%
The 2022 release of the Cragganmore Distillers Edition, a cornerstone of the Classic Malts since the Distillers Editions were first introduced in the late 1990s.
Cragganmore Distillers Editions are treated to a secondary finishing period in casks seasoned with port - the only Distillers Edition not finished in some kind of sherry casks - and benefit from an enhanced flavour profile with plenty of cooked dark fruit - think blackberries, cooked cherries et al - making this Cragganmore the most overtly 'winey' of the Distillers Editions.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Appearance: Full gold. Fine beading. Good viscosity.
Body: Light to medium.
Nose: Mellow in feel, and complex. Immediately sweetly, winey and fruity, then dense and more mysterious, with a wisp of smoke later on.
Palate: Firm and lightly oily in texture, sweet to start and soft at first on the palate, with juicy hints of wine and fruit. The sweetness is nicely balanced by light wood-spice and a smoky undertone.
Finish: Medium length, tingling and drying, while still appetisingly spicy, the oakiness hinting at vanilla and finally, cocoa.
