Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Duncan Taylor 70cl / 54.2%
A 13-year-old Caol Ila from the outstanding 2008 vintage is always worth checking out, and this one has had the considerable benefit of a three month fling with one of Duncan Taylor's miniature sherry octave casks, adding an extra layer of dried fruity and depth to Caol Ila's sooty citrus deliciousness.
This 2008 Caol Ila 13-year-old is one of just 90 bottles yielded from the octave, bottled at its natural cask strength of 54.2% without colouring or chill filtration and as ever with these, it's going to be popular, so first come first served.
