Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Signatory Vintage 70cl / 59.2%
Braeval, also known as Braes of Glenlivet, is a modern Speyside distillery built in 1973, since when it has been quietly knocking out a few million litres a year of high quality single malt for owner Chivas Brothers' blended whiskies - official bottlings are very few and even independent bottlings are rare.
Thankfully for Speyside fans who want to try Braeval's tasty wares, Signatory Vintage are expert in ferreting out the odd cask from obscure distilleries. This one looks like a goodie: a refill sherry butt of Braeval 2000, bottled as a dark golden 21-year-old for Signatory's Cask Strength Collection at a very impressive 59.2%.
