Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 46%
Balblair's flagship 25-year-old first appeared in 2019 after the company dropped their previous policy of releasing vintage editions instead of age-statement bottlings. The distillery's core range malts have had a couple of facelifts this century, but the most recent is our favourite so far.
This 25-year-old Balblair was initially matured ex-bourbon wood before a finishing period in sherry casks, and despite the age it's still got the distillery's trademark fruits and deliciously weighty, oily texture. A cracking, contemplative after-dinner dram.
