An old bottle of Jameson 18-year-old blended Irish whiskey released by the brand's owners Midleton distillery in 2022.
Jameson 18-year-old first made its bow around the turn of the millennium, but only appeared in sporadic small batches and was both popular and hard to find. This edition from 2022 was one of the first batches released without chill filtration at the higher strength of 46%, and is all the better for it.
A mix of pot still and grain whiskeys matured in a combination of American and European oak bourbon and sherry casks, Jameson 18-year-old is one of the often overlooked unsung heroes of Midleton's portfolio. A cracking Irish whiskey.
