Distilled in Speyside in 2008 and matured for 18 years before being bottled in 2026 by independent bottler Signatory Vintage for Exceptional Cask 100 Proof Edition #17.

This undisclosed Speyside (M) single malt was matured in first fill Oloroso sherry butts and bottled at the series' standard 100 proof strength of 57.1% ABV. It was bottled without chill filtration and with no added colour.

The Speyside (M) designation is used by Signatory for whisky from an undisclosed distillery, with the identity deliberately omitted from the label. These bottlings have become a particularly popular part of Signatory's recent releases, combining well-aged Speyside malt with predominantly sherry-led maturation.

The Exceptional Cask range builds on Signatory's highly successful 100 Proof series, focusing on older parcels of whisky while retaining the same 57.1% ABV bottling strength. This 18 year old release follows the 17 year old 2008 Speyside (M) issued as Exceptional Cask Edition #16 earlier in 2026, taking the vintage to a new age statement with another first fill Oloroso sherry maturation.
