It's time for our famous Burns Night Online Whisky Tasting! Join us on Friday 26th January for our first Zoom tasting for 2024, when we'll be joined by Inver House Distillers, who'll be taking us through a fantastic line-up of top class drams from their portfolio.
Inver House have owned Knockdhu distillery since the late 1980s and bought Pulteney and Balblair distilleries in 1995 and 1996 respectively. The hugely successful An Cnoc range of single malts from Knockdhu was launched in 2004, while Pulteney and Balblair have both been relaunched in recent years.
Spaces for our legendary Burns Night Tastings always sell out pretty quickly, so grab your tickets now for this fabulous Burns Night Virtual Tasting - on the night we'll be tasting two drams each from Pulteney and Balblair alongside three malts from An Cnoc, before finishing with a special Mystery Dram to toast the bard - but as ever, you'll have to supply your own haggis, neeps and tatties...

How it works and what you get: 1. Order a tasting pack here. 2. Your pack containing all drams will then be shipped out to you prior to the tasting. The week of the tasting an email with the Zoom link and a 10% discount code to redeem against any whiskies tasted on the evening will be sent. 3. On the 26th of January 2024 click the link at 19:15 GMT (to allow for any technical issues you may encounter) and you will be accepted into the tasting at 19:30. 4. Relax and get ready to pour, listen, taste, and ask as many questions as you wish.
*Please note that the 10% off voucher can only be redeemed on the full-size bottle versions of the whiskies tasted on the evening from Whisky-Online Shop and will be valid for 3 days from the date of the tasting. *Please note that it is advisable to familiarise yourself with Zoom prior to the tasting. I started feeling ill the next day and it is only now i'm showing signs of recovery so unfortunately I wasn't in top condition to appreciate another excellent evening.

The value is there for sure and it is definitely worth a buy, but there is a slight punch to it, bordering ever so slightly on that sulphuric taste you sometimes get with sherry butts. Not as rounded or soft as I'd have expected for a 13 yr old. Still great though.

Beautiful colour. Fruitcake and chocolate on the nose. I could sniff it for hours. The palate is rich full and well rounded with no sulphur or off notes. With a treacly mouth feel (beautiful legs!) and a long silky finish this is one to cherish. Incredible value at £70!
An exciting deep rich brown coloured liquid.
A compote of fruit together with dried grapes is lovely on the tongue.
Nicely sweetened syrup is evident too.
Invested in two bottles but will be ordering a third.
