The Lakes distillery - one of England's best new whisky distilleries - diversified their operations in 2014 to include this excellent gin. Made, as the name suggests, with a combination of classic gin botanicals enhanced with some local ingredients including meadowsweet, heather and bilberry.
Lakes Distillery Classic Gin is made by macerating the botanicals in wheat spirit before redistilling the result in Lakes' traditional copper pot still, and is bottled at 46% giving the resulting gin powerful, deeply-infused classic gin flavours and a gentle texture.
