Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Fable 70cl / 53.3%
We love a good Teaninich, and particularly ones like this Fable release: a clean hogshead of mature spirit that hasn't been jollied up in any wine casks. For a new indie bottler, Fable's cask selection has been brilliant so far.
Released in late 2021 for the third batch of Fable's Clanyard Bay myth (of which this Teaninich represents Chapter Eight: Fairies), Cask 705801 yielded 299 bottles of 13-year-old Teaninich 2008 at an enormously tempting 53.3%.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: A fragrant nose, with citrus fruit orange oils and cut grass. Freshly cut hay and chamomile develop into an earthiness. Soft bitter notes drift into roasted coffee beans and soft malt.
Palate: Toasted hazelnuts develop into warm baked apple pie. Baking spices linger and finish with a soft peppery prickle. With water added becomes dry with a whisper of smoke, beeswax note mid-palate.
Finish: Long -Medium finish, quite dry. Cut grass, oily herbal notes. Vanilla lingers afterwards. Great waxy balanced finish.
