Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 48.4%
Strathmill is a distillery we don't see enough of, tucked away in Speyside making single malt for owner Diageo's blends. Strathmills are generally fresh, grassy drams with a honeyed edge and touch of spice.
This is a 12-year-old Strathmill 2009 from Douglas Laing, bottled for their Old Particular range from a single refill hogshead at their preferred 48.4% strength, with 336 bottles yielded from cask DL15062.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Shows an early home-baked cake style with a barley sugar and a sweet spiced backdrop.
Palate: Mouthcoats in a juicy, dulcet, malty style, showing molasses, butterscotch and liquorice.
Finish: Starts big on spices, which continue, with a drift of mocha amongst late espresso.
