This 14-year-old Orkney (HP) 2010 came from a small batch of first fill oloroso sherry butts bottled at 57.1% as #30 of the 100-Proof Editions. Even without the string of tired Viking cliches you don’t need to be Miss Marple to work out where this one’s from, and if it looks like sensational value, that’s because it is.

A surprise at the price, I found this dram eceeto be smooth with a good smoke finish, marked at 4 stars because although it was easy to follow with another glass or two it just lacked a little body. I shall buy another bottle of this
