Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 50.6%
We've been blessed with two old Scapas from Gordon & MacPhail in this delivery! Gordon & MacPhail have really raised the bar lately, and here's another example.
This 1988 Scapa is from a single refill bourbon cask (#310 for those interested in the minutiae) and was bottled for the Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series in December 2020 as a 32-year-old, yielding 146 bottles at its natural cask strength of 50.6%.
How wonderful to see a Scapa at this grand old age - more than five years longer-matured than the oldest official bottling we know of.
