This Port Ellen has been bottled by Douglas Laing for their Old Malt Cask series, distilled in 1982 and matured for 25 years in cask number 3400. Bottled in March 2007 with an outrun of only 670 bottles at 50% Vol.
Released a few years ago now, this is just one of many brilliant Port Ellens that Doulas Laing have now managed to release. Great, great whisky that should be tried by everyone while it is still within the realms of reasonable accessibility.
