A bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle 10-year-old 107 Proof wheated Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey released in 2021. These famous cult wheated bourbons are made by Buffalo Trace distillery nowadays, following the Van Winkle family's strict mashbill specifications which dictate the use of wheat rather than rye as the secondary grain.
Old Rip Van Winkle 10-year-old 107 Proof bourbon is the higher strength version of the standard Van Winkle 10-year-old, and is bottled at the traditional 'bond' strength of 107 US Proof, equivalent to 53.5% alcohol by volume.
The original Van Winkle distillery, Stitzel-Weller, was closed down in 1992 by Diageo forerunners United Distillers, and Buffalo Trace have been making this whiskey under contract for the last couple of decades, during which time the Van Winkle bourbons have finally found the acclaim they always deserved. A must-try whiskey for all bourbon fans.
The product price on margin items include VAT which must not be shown separately or reclaimed as input tax. Input tax has not been and will not be claimed in respect of the margin goods sold.

An exciting deep rich brown coloured liquid.
A compote of fruit together with dried grapes is lovely on the tongue.
Nicely sweetened syrup is evident too.
Invested in two bottles but will be ordering a third.
Great warming malt enjoyed by two. (One aka Pig)
I know I bought a cask strength whisky but was expecting a nice taste but the strength overpowered the flavor, I found it harsh, but I am not a whiskey conasur. I also bought the secret Orkney signatory cask strength and that was very nice.
