Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl / 46%
Nc'Nean's first single malt whisky only appeared in Autumn 2020, yet here we are on Batch 5 already! As before this is a smallish batch of around 5000 bottles of the distillery's Light & Fruity spirit made with certified organic barley and matured in a combination of 65% shaved/toasted/recharred red wine casks and 35% plain ex-bourbon casks. The casks for this batch of Nc'Nean Organic were distilled between April and August 2017.
It's worth noting that all these Nc'Nean releases so far have been of the distillery's Light & Fruity spirit style - there's another heavier spirit made at the distillery but it's designed for longer ageing so we haven't seen any of that yet.

Yes, a lovely expression from Ardnmurchan. As young as it is (5yrs old I believe), it tastes twice its maturity!
Very well made, delicious & beautifully complex smells & flavours to savour.
Having been fortunate enough to visit Scotland’s little gem distillery twice in the past ( amongst several others) it soon became my favourite dram. This like all its predecessors is a pleasure to savour and a real treat . The only problem is the self discipline required to make the bottle last long enough and show the respect and gratitude to its makers in producing this and in my humble opinion all others from Scotland’s little gem.
