Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 48.4%
A 12-year-old Mortlach 2009 single cask, bottled without colouring or chill filtration by Douglas Laing in 2022 for their Old Particular range.
This Mortlach 12-year-old 2009 was bottled from a single refill hogshead cask, DL16641, yielding 331 bottles at the Old Particular standard strength of 48.4%. If you've never tried an unsherried Mortlach before, this would be a great place to start to explore the distillery's unapologetically firm, meaty spirit style.

Official Tasting Notes
Nose: A coconut character gives way to charred oak and a buttery, barley richness.
Palate: Oily yet creamy with lots of depth – allspice and freshly baked bread.
Finish: Long... marmalade lingers alongside vanilla cream and more barley.
