Miltonduff 2011-2024 | 12 Year Old Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition 14

I’ve been fortunate to try about half of this series so far, the majority in sherry and this is by far the cleanest, richest and juiciest of the lot. I’m amazed it’s still available!!

This is a high ABV, low cost bottle that surprised me with some complexity. Not in the way a £200 dram provides, but it has character and uniqueness. This was shared on an evening with another from the series and both were universally enjoyed.

I was struck by the leather / tobacco hint that arrived early. The classic sherry hit with its sweetness and fruitiness is seperate from the darker notes.

I know I bought a cask strength whisky but was expecting a nice taste but the strength overpowered the flavor, I found it harsh, but I am not a whiskey conasur. I also bought the secret Orkney signatory cask strength and that was very nice.

One of my favourite tipples if you like a heavily sherried dram it's definitely a good buy no brainer for the price but not for the faint of heart. I think I have bought 10 bottles had to be done as it won't be coming around any time soon, hope ican last out.
