Single Malt Israeli Whisky
Bottled by: Berry Brothers & Rudd 70cl / 64.2%
A single cask single malt from the 2018 vintage at Israel's Milk & Honey distillery, bottled without colouring or chill filtration at its mighty cask strength of 64.2% by our fancy-trousered friends at Berry Brothers & Rudd.
The seemingly traditionalist Berry Brothers & Rudd have often been proved to be daring innovators when it comes to their independent bottlings, and this is just more evidence of their open-minded approach to cask selection. In this cask, the cask in question was a 'STR' (Shaved, Toasted & Recharred) cask that was filled with a 50/50 mix of Milk & Honey's peated and unpeated spirit.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
This STR cask (“shaving, toasting and re-charring’’) was filled with equal quantities of the distillery’s peated and unpeated spirit, before being matured for three years in Israel.
Nose: The nose offers thick slabs of fruit jelly: apricot, quince and overripe mango, opening up to notes of tobacco and crystallised ginger.
Palate: The palate is incredible, viscous and chewy, showing notes of black cherry, espresso and dark chocolate, all with a deliciously fruity undertone.
Finish: The finish delivers an explosion of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg and root ginger.
This is a muscular dram worthy of many repeat visits.
