The 2021 release of Macallan 30-year-old Sherry Oak - funny to think that we're now into the 1990s distillates for these bottlings.
As ever, the Sherry Oak 30-year-old is the pinnacle of Macallan's core range, matured for a minimum of three decades in European oak casks seasoned for up to two years with dry Oloroso sherry in Jerez before receiving the Macallan spirit. Naturally, this whisky exists only in tiny quantities, so you'll need to be quick on this one.

Nose: Rich sherry, with orange clove, nutmeg and wood smoke.
Palate: Deliciously smooth, with dried fruits, sherry, orange and wood smoke.
