Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Berry Bros & Rudd 70cl / 52.6%
A special 2011 Linkwood 11-year-old bottled at the end of 2022 without colouring or chill filtration by Berry Brothers & Rudd for the Chinese New Year, which falls on January 22nd 2023 inaugurating the Year of the Rabbit.
This 11-year-old Linkwood came from a pair of hogshead casks and was finished in Oloroso sherry wood before bottling at its very approachable cask strength of 52.6%. Linkwood is a subtle, versatile whisky that shines in either bourbon or sherry casks, and this should be delicious stuff.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: The nose offers apricot jam, figs and underripe peach, growing into spiced creamy carrot cairn.
Palate: The palate builds beautifully from fresh fruit into rich dried fruitcake. The addition of a little water and delving deeper reveals more fresh peaches and coconut, along with further wood spice.
Finish: The finish delivers a lasting medley of spices, fruit jams and hot crossed buns.
