Signatory Vintage has to be up there with the best of the independent bottlers in the industry and to celebrate the 30th Anniversary they have released a collection of exceptional bottlings from many sought after distilleries.
This Linkwood was distilled in 1990 and aged for 27 years in hogshead #9735 before being bottled in 2018 with a yield of just 233 bottles.
This bottling repeatedly flirts with sherry - firstly with exotic fruity aromas and heady floral tones and then tertiary aromas like forest floor and black fruits. The bottle is presented in a black lacker box with 2 Signatory Vintage branded Glencairn glasses.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Colour: Burnished gold with glints of copper. Nose: A complex yet fresh and malty nose. Allowed to breathe and you can start to pick out exotic fruits like mango and spicy black pepper. Palate: A malty palate initially that gives way to dried fruit and spices becoming more floral and earthy. The finish is woody and silky with apricot and plum notes.

Yes, a lovely expression from Ardnmurchan. As young as it is (5yrs old I believe), it tastes twice its maturity!
Very well made, delicious & beautifully complex smells & flavours to savour.
Having been fortunate enough to visit Scotland’s little gem distillery twice in the past ( amongst several others) it soon became my favourite dram. This like all its predecessors is a pleasure to savour and a real treat . The only problem is the self discipline required to make the bottle last long enough and show the respect and gratitude to its makers in producing this and in my humble opinion all others from Scotland’s little gem.
