Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled By: Murray McDavid 70cl / 40.1%
A wonderful old 1967 Highland Park 35-year-old, bottled in 2003 by Murray McDavid for the prestige Jim McEwan's Celtic Heartlands series at its naturally low strength of 40.1%, one of several bottlings in the series that were caught in the nick of time.
This 35-year-old highland Park 1967 matured in American oak casks and was bottled as a limited edition of just 722 bottles. A magnificent, contemplative nose with a delicate palate of delicious old school HP flavours: heather, honey and a thin thread of smoke.

Yes, a lovely expression from Ardnmurchan. As young as it is (5yrs old I believe), it tastes twice its maturity!
Very well made, delicious & beautifully complex smells & flavours to savour.
