An old and rare bottle of Haig's Dimple De Luxe bottled sometime in the 1970s at 70-proof (40%). This is an unusual bottle for Haig as it doesn't have an age statement - most Dimples of the era were 12-year-old versions, while this one simply says De Luxe, an old and now obsolete term denoting long-aged whisky.
These old Dimple Haigs always make for good drinking whisky - the Haig brand was the UK's favourite whisky from the 1930s until the early 1970s and was the first whisky to sell a million 12-bottle cases in a year in the UK.

Yes, a lovely expression from Ardnmurchan. As young as it is (5yrs old I believe), it tastes twice its maturity!
Very well made, delicious & beautifully complex smells & flavours to savour.
