A small batch Glentauchers 2012 12-year-old Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 2024 by Signatory Vintage for their amazing 100-Proof Editions series, all of which are released at 57.1% without colouring or chill filtration.
This 100-Proof Signatory Glentauchers 2012 came from a small batch first fill Oloroso sherry butts and it’s picked up a beautiful dark chestnut colour. Glentauchers is a relatively obscure Speyside distillery that it’s fair to say not a great deal of whisky fans get super excited about - in other words, the perfect candidate for a range of bargain cask strength whiskies like this. Thrifty sherried whisky fans should fill their boots here.
Glentauchers isn't rated enough. Quickly climbing my top 5 distillery, every bottle I try. This bottle is major compliment to the distillery.

Smooth even at cask strength
At cask strength it is still very smooth and no need for any water. Sweet Sherry notes just a lovely dram and £46 great value for money. Glentauchers distillery is a hidden gem

Absolutely beautiful
Just sipping my 2nd dram of this wonderful whisky, as I write this review.
Non chill filtered, no added colour, and 57.1 abv.
Sweetness, yet bitter background.
The alcohol is not overpowering at all.
Warmth in your mouth, is just exquisite.
For £45, this is exceptional value!
Very highly recommended!
