A 2010 vintage single cask Glenlossie 13-year-old bottled without colouring or chill filtration at its very promising natural strength of 50.5% by Berry Bros & Rudd for their Autumn 2023 outturn.
This 13-year-old Glenlossie 2010 was bottled from a single hogshead cask that coughed up a very generous 322 bottles at its natural cask strength of 50.5%. Glenlossie is another rather overlooked distillery, so we're indebted to BBR for digging this one out, and a naturally low cask strength at this age usually denotes bags of flavour - this could be a sleeper hit.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: This sings from the glass, announcing itself with rich flavours of spiced crème brûlée, fresh apples, lime zest, vanilla pods and clove. It is a huge, muscular whisky.
Palate: This theme continues on the palate, demanding your attention with waves of fresh shortbread, wood spice, fresh fruit and a touch of new leather. This style of wood-forward whisky works wonderfully at cask strength as the alcohol integrates beautifully with the rich character.
Finish: Cinnamon and cloves linger on the finish, leaving one thoroughly impressed and ready for that second sip.

An exciting deep rich brown coloured liquid.
A compote of fruit together with dried grapes is lovely on the tongue.
Nicely sweetened syrup is evident too.
Invested in two bottles but will be ordering a third.
Great warming malt enjoyed by two. (One aka Pig)
I know I bought a cask strength whisky but was expecting a nice taste but the strength overpowered the flavor, I found it harsh, but I am not a whiskey conasur. I also bought the secret Orkney signatory cask strength and that was very nice.
