Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 75cl / 43%
An old Glenfiddich whisky ceramic decanter, released in the 1980s bearing a portrait of Mary Queen of Scots as part of Glenfiddich's Royal Heritage series, which also included similar decanters featuring Bonnie Prince Charlie and Robert the Bruce.
There were various versions of this release in the late 20th century. This is one of the earlier editions, bottled at 43% in a traditional rounded cream and green decanter, so the whisky was likely distilled in the late 1970s. The series was later relaunched as the Heritage Reserve range, featuring darker, octagonal decanters with smaller portraits.

Yes, a lovely expression from Ardnmurchan. As young as it is (5yrs old I believe), it tastes twice its maturity!
Very well made, delicious & beautifully complex smells & flavours to savour.
