From the second instalment of Glenallachie's Wood Finish Series, we have this 11-year-old Moscatel finish.
This Speyside single malt Scotch whisky was first matured for over 9 years in American oak wood barrels and then additional maturation in Moscatel Barriques. The maturation period in the Moscatel Barriques gives the whisky a full and fruity flavour and a lovely aromatic nose.
It was bottled unchill-filtered at 48%.
