Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 50.9%
Bottled in 2005 from some 1962 sherry casks this is yet another example of just how blindingly good aged Glen Moray can be.
Not as well known as some of the other aged official releases, this is a sleeper masterpiece that leaves many other official 40yo + whiskies out in the cold.
Beautiful whisky.
This bottle is presented in a high-quality wooden box with an accompanying miniature.

Tasting Notes
Drawn from some absolutely stunning sherry casks this whisky displays a fervent mix of aged tobacco, rancio, cognac, raisins, sticky toffee pudding, damp cellar and dark fruit aromas.
It is one of those rare whiskies that seems to display every kind of aged sherry characteristic in perfect balance. Dried wild mushrooms, moist earthy notes, an abundance of different fruit qualities, spices, delicate oak tones, minerals, touches of smoke, hints of flints and balsamico and a beguiling complexity.
Another truly great whisky from this much-underrated distillery. These are now becoming very hard to find.
