Fable continue their Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay series with this Glen Elgin 2014, bottled in 2021 as a 7-year-old from hogshead cask 800406, which yielded 296 bottles at a mighty 61.6%.
This 2014 Glen Elgin is from the third batch of Fable releases and represents Chapter Seven: The Piper, with an illustration by Bolivian artist Hugo Cuellar.

Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Toasted brioche, Granny Smith apple, and a twist green pepper. Toasted oak lingers in the background.
Palate: Sweet pear and tropical hints with banana and almond notes are contrasted with subtle herbs of thyme and rosemary. With water added – packed with fresh green notes of pear, cardamom, waxy with a prickly peppery note anise.
Finish: Dry and balanced. Digestive biscuit, honey, malty, and salted caramel popcorn. Faint spiciness developing nutmeg and brown sugar.
