Cognac
Fanny Fougerat 70cl / 40%
Iris Poivré is a deliciously elegant XO cognac from Fanny Fougerat, an auteur cognac producer and fourth generation winemaker-distiller who established her own name brand in 2013 - previous generations of her family supplied cognac to the big four cognac houses for blending.
Fougerat's vineyards are in the Borderies and Fin Bois cognac sub-appellations, and this Fanny Fougerat Iris Poivré XO is a 100% Ugni Blanc Borderies cognac, showing delicate, floral aromas and flavours. Fougerat's Iris Poivré XO cognac is aged for 12 years in plain oak casks, with 15% of the batch receiving a year in new oak. Iris Poivré is released in tiny quantities and contains no added sugar or colourings.
