Elements of Islay Bourbon Cask is a blended Islay malt whisky added as part of a new core range trilogy launched in a Summer 2022 revamp for the Elements of Islay series, complete with a presentation box and a tweaked label now featuring cask information and a flavour profile.
More importantly, though, the famous Elements of Islay apothecary bottles have been embiggened from 50cl to 70cl, removing the need to do any bottle-equivalent mental arithmetic for the prices.
This Elements of Islay Bourbon Cask, as the name suggests, has been assembled exclusively from first fill and refill ex-bourbon casks and has been bottled at a hearty strength of 54.5%. For anyone seeking a high strength 'natural' Islay malt whisky, rest assured there won't be any better value than this.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet aromas rise from a sugar jar with vanilla pods. The fragrance of vanilla-and-amber scented candles fills the air, along with fresh tropical fruits. Faint puffs of chimney coal smoke linger.
Palate: A chocolate-dusted cappuccino, warm vanilla-custard brioche and maple-syrup- poached tangy fruits appear, along with a roaring peat fire. Butter icing on vanilla cupcakes follows next.
Finish: Sweet, creamy vanilla with a hint of peat smoke.

Yes, a lovely expression from Ardnmurchan. As young as it is (5yrs old I believe), it tastes twice its maturity!
Very well made, delicious & beautifully complex smells & flavours to savour.
