Bottled at the end of 2021, this Elements of Islay Bn9 is a small batch of four hogshead casks distilled in 2014 and aged past their 7th birthday before bottling at a bracing 59.1%.
Unusually, this particular Bn is not unpeated - but neither is it very heavily peated like some of the smoky spirits from this distillery, such as Margadale or Moine. This Elements of Islay Bn9 is Bunna with just a light edge of turfy smoke, and it's terrific stuff.
