A vatting of two sister hogshead casks of Dailuaine 1997, bottled in 2021 as a 23-year-old by Signatory Vintage for their Cask Strength Collection at 51%.
Dailuaine's day job is making tasty Speyside malt for Diageo's blends, and for that reason you didn't see too many of them out in the wild up until a few years ago. Thankfully the trickle of indie bottlings has increased a little of late, so hopefully this overlooked distillery will pick up more of the fans it deserves.
It's great to see older editions of Dailuaine like this Signatory bottling, particularly from refill hogsheads that should let the muscular distillery style shine through.
