This 13-year-old Caol Ila 2009 started life in refill bourbon barrels before spending the last two years of its maturation in red wine casks that were formerly home to famous Super Tuscan classic Sassicaia, so expect plenty of extra red berry and tobacco flavours alongside Caol Ila's citrussy, smoky delights.

Palate: Recurrant flavours give way to black pepper and lemon peel.
Finish: A medium finish with pepper, forest fruit and smoke.
