A 1997 Scott's Selection bottling of Bruichladdich 1986, made when the distillery was falling into disrepair and production was sporadic but still capable of producing outstanding nervous, fruity, biscuity drams like this one.
The Scott's Selection series has been dormant for many years now, but at their peak they released some absolutely stunning malts and the quality of all their releases was always extremely high across the board. This young Bruichladdich 1986 will be an absolute treat, though at 56.1% we'd recommend a drop of water - these usually swim very well.

Yes, a lovely expression from Ardnmurchan. As young as it is (5yrs old I believe), it tastes twice its maturity!
Very well made, delicious & beautifully complex smells & flavours to savour.
