Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Berry Bros & Rudd 70cl / 46%
The younger of two Blair Athols in Berry Brothers & Rudd's Winter 2022 outturn, this is a small batch 10-year-old Blair Athol 2012 matured in refill hogsheads, which really gives the distillery's excellent spirit a chance to properly express itself without being smothered in sherry or vanilla.
This 2012 Blair Athol 10-year-old is a very small batch of 777 bottles and has been bottled without colouring or chill filtration at a palate-friendly 46%, making this a great general purpose Highland dram ideal for sharing with friends or quiet contemplative sipping.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Complexity and subtlety are the order of the day with this luscious Blair Athol.
Nose: The nose shows stewed apple with a touch of spice, a little vanilla, peach skins and some ground almond.
Palate: A wonderfully full textured palate gives a similar ride through fruit, spice and nuttiness, with just the merest hint of wood smoke on the end.
A beautiful little dram.
