Sazerac Rye is a benchmark straight rye whiskey from the Buffalo Trace Distillery, aged 4-6 years and presented in an eye-catching old style bottle.
The Sazerac name oozes history and this rye whiskey is a tribute to the Sazerac Company's 19th century origins at the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans where Peychaud's bitters, absinthe and rye whiskey were combined in the signature cocktail.
Bottled at 45% for a little extra heft, Sazerac Rye is one of our favourites - a deliciously tangy, spicy whiskey with a sweet edge and lovely herbal notes. If the absinthe in a Sazerac cocktail puts you off, this is equally excellent in a Manhattan.
