A single cask Akkeshi 2018 3-year-old Japanese single malt whisky released by independent bottlers Adelphi Distillers in 2025. This whisky was distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2025 but is labelled as a 3-year-old, which could be either because the cask was removed from Japan after three years, or the whisky was removed from cask after three years and stored in glass or PET containers before bottling.
This 3-year-old Akkeshi 2018 matured in a single first fill bourbon barrel cask 1004 that was bottled without colouring or chill filtration and yielded 265 bottles at a hefty 57.7% natural cask strength. Akkeshi is a peated Japanese malt whisky known for deliciousness in youth, so this should be a gem.

It’s a good flavour similar to the secret appetite (M) but with even more flavour. You have to add a bit of water to get it to 50% and the flavour is released in full.
