Tullibardine was mothballed from 1994-2003 by previous owners Whyte & Mackay but began production again in 2003 under new owners who then sold up themselves in 2011 to current stewards Terroir Distillers. This is a previously neglected distillery that is now finding its feet as its post-2003 output comes of age.
Indie bottlers House of Macduff have selected this single bourbon cask Tullibardine 2007, bottled in 2020 as a 13-year-old for their Golden Cask series. 219 bottles were yielded from cask CM263 at a promising 59.3%.

If you like your Whisky matured in a sherry cask then you will not be disappointed with this one, the flavours transferred from the Oloroso butts are unmistakably sherry, with a mixture of fruitiness coming through once you’ve added a slug of water, in my opinion at this cask strength you need need a good measure of H2O to really appreciate this very fine reasonably priced Whisky.
