This 44-year-old Glenlossie 1975 came from a single first fill sherry hogshead cask #2907 that yielded a miserly 91 bottles at its natural cask strength of 52.4%. Glenlossie is a clean, grassy spirit that can take a lot of time to reach its full potential - this epic sherry hogshead should be stunning.

Nose: Initial aromas of beeswax polish and confection banana. Subtle extinguished bonfire notes evolve into mixed spice - ginger and nutmeg. Bitter dark chocolate compliments treacle toffee.

Palate: Soft and mouth-warming; rich dark chocolate with velvety caramel. Flavours of espresso coffee linger with comforting malted chocolate.

Finish: Satisfying dark chocolate mocha with a slight dring mouth-feel. Hints of molasses remain with flashes of mature oak.
