A 12-year-old Dailuaine Speyside single malt whisky, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2023 by Douglas Laing for their prestigious The Vault collection. Matured in a refill hogshead, single cask #17186, this limited release yielded just 228 bottles at a natural cask strength of 55.6% ABV.

Dailuaine is a lesser-known Speyside distillery, with much of its production traditionally destined for blended Scotch whisky. Its robust, full-bodied spirit makes it particularly well suited to independent bottlings, where individual casks can showcase the distillery's distinctive character.

The refill hogshead maturation allows Dailuaine's rich, malty character to take centre stage, with the oak providing a more restrained influence than a first-fill cask. Bottled as part of Douglas Laing's The Vault collection, this is an excellent opportunity to explore a single cask expression from one of Speyside's more understated distilleries.
