Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 50%
A single cask of Probably Speyside's Finest 1966 41-year-old Speyside single malt whisky released by indie bottlers Douglas Laing in 2008 as part of their Old Malt Cask series. It's an open secret that these casks were from Glenfarclas distillery.
This 41-year-old Probably Speyside's Finest 1966 was bottled without colouring or chill filtration from single cask 4191, which was a sherry butt that yielded 326 bottles at a hearty 50%, Douglas Laing's preferred strength for the Old Malt Cask series.
Douglas Laing bottled around three dozen of these magnificent 1960s Glenfarclas sherry monsters between 2006-2018, and cask 4191 was among the very best of them. A superlative spirit from an immaculate sherry butt.
