Join Whisky-Online and our hosts from the Isle Of Raasay Distillery from the comfort of your own home for a virtual tasting.
Our friends from Isle Of Raasay distillery will take us through the unique six-part maturation of the signature Isle of Raasay Single Malt with six cask strength samples.
Two Isle of Raasay spirits – peated and unpeated – are matured separately in three distinct cask types – Rye whiskey, fresh Chinkapin oak, and Bordeaux red wine.
The signature Isle of Raasay Single Malt that is to be released in May 2021, marries these six signature casks together in varying proportions, creating a lightly peated single malt with rich dark fruit flavours. A dram with real depth and complexity.
The exciting thing about this tasting is that after we have tasted all the samples individually you will then get the chance to blend the remainder of your samples to create your own little unique Raasay blend at home. With this in mind, it is advisable to keep half of each sample back for the end of the tasting.

What you need to do and what do you get
1. Order a tasting pack here. 2. Your pack containing X6 5cl drams will then be shipped out to you and a link for the tasting will be sent to you. 3. Click the link at 19:15 (to allow for any technical issues you may encounter) on the 5th Feb 2021 and you will be accepted into the tasting. 4. Relax and get ready to pour, listen and taste and questions will be welcomed from participants.
Please note that it is advisable to familiarise yourself with Zoom prior to the tasting. If you would like assistance with this please email tim@whisky-Online.com. Please do not leave this until the day of the tasting.

If you like your Whisky matured in a sherry cask then you will not be disappointed with this one, the flavours transferred from the Oloroso butts are unmistakably sherry, with a mixture of fruitiness coming through once you’ve added a slug of water, in my opinion at this cask strength you need need a good measure of H2O to really appreciate this very fine reasonably priced Whisky.
Definitely would buy again !
