The Epicurean is Douglas Laing’s Lowland blended malt Scotch whisky, bringing together a selection of single malts sourced exclusively from Scotland’s Lowland region.

Part of Douglas Laing’s Remarkable Regional Malts range, The Epicurean is bottled in small batches at 46.2% ABV and is non-chill filtered, with the emphasis on the lighter, fresher style traditionally associated with Lowland malt whisky.

A bright and approachable blended malt, The Epicurean offers an introduction to the character of the Lowlands while retaining the higher bottling strength and traditional presentation favoured by Douglas Laing.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes describe a barley-rich, citric and fresh nose, followed by a mouth-coating sweet palate of crunched sugar, burnt citrus, peaches and hard candy. The finish returns to the earlier fresh character, with almonds, cut grass and burnt sugar.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone!
