Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Berry Brothers & Rudd 70cl / 56.3%
A 15-year-old Teaninich 2007 bottled at its hefty cask strength of 56.3% without colouring or chill filtration by Berry Brothers & Rudd, who've been providing fancy booze to the UK gentry since the 17th century.
This 2007 Teaninich 15-year-old is BBR's Christmas Edition, which seems like a good plan as it's a single Oloroso sherry cask and Teaninich is one of the Highlands' most underrated distilleries. This will be a splendid festive tipple.

Official Tasting Notes
This Highland single malt was matured in a refill sherry butt before being given a final two years maturing in a fresh Oloroso butt.
Nose: The sherry wood is quite restrained on the nose with the fruity distillate displaying a mouthwatering array of zesty green fruit notes.
Palate: The palate however leaves one in no doubt of the sherry maturation with thick dried figs and raisins mingling beautifully with grated apple and lashings of honey. A little water brings out bursts of wood spice and some of the citrus promised on the nose.
Vibrant and fresh, a wonderful conversational dram.
Ronnie Cox Says
“With just the vaguest hint of Andalusian sherry influence surrounding the fresh fruity notes on the nose, it springs to life with characteristic dried fruits balanced gracefully with honeyed fruits. Uplifting and fresh, it is a rare and delightful dram from a distillery found on an equally enchanting and prolific salmon river – the Alness.”
