Distilled at Tamdhu in March 2014 and matured for eight years before being bottled by Douglas Laing in September 2022 for their Provenance range.

This Speyside single malt was drawn from a single refill hogshead, cask DL15963, and bottled at a cask strength of 59.2% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. A limited release of just 234 bottles, exclusively bottled for BE.

Douglas Laing's tasting notes: Fresh and citric on the nose with barley sugar and vanilla, developing towards sweet malt, gentle spice and a clean, lingering finish.

Douglas Laing's Provenance range showcases single cask and small batch whiskies from distilleries across Scotland, bottled with a focus on the individual character of the spirit and cask.

Tamdhu has maintained a particularly strong association with sherry cask maturation, but independent bottlings can offer a different perspective on the distillery's spirit. The refill hogshead used for this release allows the underlying Tamdhu character to take a more prominent role than in the heavily sherry-influenced style for which the distillery is best known.

Please Note: This bottle is a part of a large batch of bin-ends we recently picked up at a great price, enabling us to pass on savings to our customers. However, only one or two bottles of each product were included in the parcel - so when they’re gone they’re gone! Please note that due to the size and nature of this batch of stock, some labels and boxes may show signs of wear.
