An unusual barrel-shaped presentation bottle from Old St Andrews, this Cooper's Choice contains a 10-year-old Scotch malt whisky bottled at 40% ABV. Produced during the 1990s, these distinctive novelty decanters became one of Old St Andrews' most recognisable releases, combining collectible presentation with everyday-drinking whisky.
Moulded in the shape of a traditional oak cask and supplied on its own display stand, the bottle features a sepia photograph of traditional coopers at work, reflecting the importance of the cooper's craft in the maturation of Scotch whisky. Unlike later ceramic decanters, these lightweight barrel bottles were designed to evoke the appearance of a warehouse cask while remaining practical for display.
Old St Andrews was founded in Fife in 1987 and became well known for its imaginative range of themed whisky decanters, sporting releases and gift bottlings. The Cooper's Choice barrel series remains one of the company's classic designs.

Another great experience dealing with thebwhisky online shop, packaging was very good and the bottle is safely stored away in my collection.
Highly recommended
I really shouldn't share how good this whisky is as I don't want it to sell out. One of the few non sherried releases in this series and therefore quite different from most I have tried before. Absolutely delicious whisky.
